Our Story

Shahirah Ahmed Designs was born from a frustration that sparked a vision for change. At 17, while preparing for her junior prom, designer & founder Shahirah Ahmed struggled to find stylish high heels in her size. It was then that she discovered the challenges of wearing a size 12—an experience that ignited her passion to create a brand that ensures women with larger shoe sizes never have to compromise on quality, style, or sophistication.

As an adult, finding heels in her size became even more of a challenge as her love for fashion grew. Determined to pursue her dreams and make a larger sized women’s footwear brand a reality, she enrolled at California State University, Long Beach, earning her bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising. Armed with industry knowledge and an unshakable vision, she set out to create a brand that not only provides stylish options but also empowers women with larger feet to feel confident and celebrated.
