DIY: Pearl Slides

Someone somewhere said, “the happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have.” Us girls with larger shoe sizes definitely don’t have the greatest selection of footwear. We also know the struggle of making do with what we have and what’s available to us. I’m not quite sure if that quote applies to us entirely, but it did make me extremely happy to create these DIY pearl slip ons! Inspired by a similar sandal by Zara, slides are the easiest to DIY. You can find these super cute and comfy black criss cross slides at torrid, up to size 14, and the adhesive pearls at Joannes fabric store. Even though the pearls come with adhesive, I added fabric glue along with it for extra hold onto the suede material. Try different patterns, jewels and variety of shapes to create one of a kind versions of a comfy chic trend any girl, including us with big feet, would love to wear.
